Can I let you in on a little secret? I have been on the lookout for a pair of incredible black go-to leggings for years. Seriously. A certain large retailer (the one with three letters ;) changed their quality and therefore ruined it for my original brand of go-tos. They were not organic or chemical free, so I was never all-that comfortable with the thought of wearing them anyway.
So the search started...
I have had Boodywear basic leggings in my Amazon cart for over a year. I just wasn't sure if they were for me, I suppose. Boodywear sent me a few of their new athletic line to try and I am hooked - line and sinker - hooked! Nothing I own feels as good as their bamboo v-neck tee - nothing! The active full leggings look good...really good.

You should know - I was so incredibly pleased with the fit, feel and quality of Boodywear, I went to my Amazon cart and "moved to cart" all of my Boodywear clothing. Everything fits well and makes me happy!

Bamboo textiles are cloth, yarn and clothing made out of bamboo fibers. While historically used only for structural elements, such as the ribs of old-fashioned corsets, in recent years a range of technologies have been developed allowing bamboo fiber to be used in a wide range of textile and fashion applications. Modern bamboo clothing is made from either 100% bamboo yarn or a blend of bamboo and other yarns such as cotton or other textile fibers including hemp, spandex and nylon.
Source of raw material
The bamboo used to make the yarn for Boody bamboo eco wear is grown in China by Hebei Jigao Chemical Fiber Company. They hold the patent on the process for turning bamboo into yarn. Boody yarn is certified organic by OCIA (The Organic Crop Improvement Association).
In order to strictly control the quality of raw material, Hebei Jigao has established its own bamboo plantation in Sichuan Province, China, and keeps strict control over its operations. The bamboo is grown in accordance with the international organic standard of OCIA / IFOAMand the USDA National Organic Program, so as to ensure each bamboo stalk is of 100% natural growth and free of any chemical pesticides.
All fiber produced at our facility in China is Oeko-Tex 100 certified. This means that the finished fiber has been tested for any chemicals that may be harmful to a person’s health and has been found to contain no trace chemicals that pose any health threat whatsoever.
