Thank you for stopping by little island studios, please subscribe by email to follow along in family fun!

Moms, this is not a compensated post.  As you know, I feel it is so very important for children (& moms) to learn about food, cooking and how vital it is for our healthy well being - so glad Disney feels the same!   Enjoy!

This Monday, May 6, Disney Junior will debut "That's Fresh: For Kids," a new version of the popular Disney Junior Night Light cooking series "That's Fresh," with new episodes debuting every morning on Disney Channel throughout the week. Hosted by Chef Helen Cavallo, the series encourages young viewers to play an active role in the cooking process and imparts the importance of healthy eating habits.

Additional information about "That's Fresh: For Kids":

·        In each episode, Cavallo prepares simple and nutritious recipes that require no sharp objects or cooking so that young viewers at home can safely assist their parents or caregivers.

·        Featured recipes include Veggie Rolls, Fruit Kabobs, Trail Mix, Berry Pops and Doc McStuffins' No Bake Muffins.

·        All "That's Fresh: For Kids" recipes are Mickey Check-approved.  Foods that receive the Mickey Check meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines that limit calories, saturated fat, sodium and sugar.
