Noah's Nook - Winter Edition

Thank you for stopping by little island studios, please subscribe by email to follow along in family fun!

If you have read some of my design articles, you will know that I am huge on designing play spaces for children.  It is their island.  Their own space.  A place where everything is  sized and geared just for them, to inspire creativity.  I have several book nooks in my house and this is one of them.  The best way to inspire children to read, in my opinion, is to have their picture books accessible to them and in a space that can include a bean bag, pillows, blankies or a seat just their size.  I usually switch out the books in line with whatever season or holiday it happens to be.

Welcome to Noah's Nook...winter edition!

A Land of Nod, Charlie and Lola doll and a Dream Blankie from Aden and Anais are by far the favorites in our space.

Our favorite winter books.

Color fun!

Cozy and comfy are must-haves for book nooks and play spaces.  The lovely animal puzzle on the shelf is from Little Pnuts and the wooded car ramp is from ROMP Store.

Our favorite winter books are:

Razzle Dazzle Ruby - this is a pop-up book and absolutely love the artwork
Snow Bear - a favorite from when my oldest was young
Snow is my Favorite and My Best - a Charlie and Lola Book (our fav series)
Little Polar Bear - we have all of this series and they are all lovely
The Good Night Train - our favorite bedtime story
Just a Snowy Day - A fun pop-up book from Little Critter
Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn Search and Find Book - the retro art is so fun
On the Nod seat is Just a Snowman - Little Critter and definitely a favorite!

Happy Reading Lovelies!

I love the layout of this little reading nook. It's adorable. I really need to buckle down and organize my daughter's reading area.
