Du Iz Tak? Picture Book by Carson Ellis

Thank you for stopping by little island studios, please subscribe by email to follow along in family fun!

We have happily teamed up with Candlewick Press to bring moms picture books their kids will love!

Du Iz Tak? a 2017 Caldecott Honor book by Carson Ellis and published by Candlewick Press is one of the most imaginative picture books on our book shelf right now.   Entirely in "bug language", I thought my little one wouldn't get it and it would not keep his interest.  Not so!  I read the first page and little one looked at me.  I said "it's bug language" and he perked up and said "GREAT! Now I can talk to bugs! Keep reading, momma!"  And since that night, Du Iz Tak is a nightly read at our house!
Du Iz Tak? by Carson Ellis is on our bookshelf!~  Picture books are everything!  Have beautiful and colorful picture books facing out to constantly inspire your children to read and dream!
Our happy bright yellow bookshelf is from The Land of Nod!

Du iz tak? What is that? As a tiny shoot unfurls, two damselflies peer at it in wonder. When the plant grows taller and sprouts leaves, some young beetles arrive to gander, and soon—with the help of a pill bug named Icky—they wrangle a ladder and build a tree fort. But this is the wild world, after all, and something horrible is waiting to swoop down—booby voobeck!—only to be carried off in turn. Su! With exquisitely detailed illustrations and tragicomic flair, Carson Ellis invites readers to imagine the dramatic possibilities to be found in even the humblest backyard. Su! - Candlewick Press

We have one hardcover copy to giveaway!  Prize is shipped to US address only, please.  We are not responsible for shipping, use or if your kiddo suddenly starts talking to all the bugs!

Ixm not sure what my niece is studying at this time. She is just in preschool at the moment. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall.

My niece is currently in preschool. I am sure they are learning some science. I am not sure what.
