Apple-Cinnamon & Cranberry Crumble!

Thank you for stopping by little island studios, please subscribe by email to follow along in family fun!

We make cranberry apple crumble every winter and now we're posting for you to enjoy.  It's really just a version of our Autumn Apple Crumble!  Crumbles are super easy and our go-to dessert and entertaining treat.  Whatever excuse we need to make a crumble and make them often.  As always, your ingredients matter - we use organic produce, spices and flours.  Follow us on Instagram for more fun.

Cranberries are in season and want to take full-advantage of all their glory!  Honestly though, we enjoy frozen cranberries year-round!  Happy cranberry season to you!

Ingredients:

Apples - 16 oz
Cranberries - 10 oz (frozen is fine & probably easier)
Grass Fed / Organic Butter - 8 oz (plus a bit more for bottom of pan)
Ceylon Cinnamon - 3 heaping teas
Nutmeg - 2 teas
1 1/2 cups of oat flour - gluten free & delicious
16 oz  of oats - I use veganic oats
5 oz of brown sugar

Pull butter out of fridge 30 minutes before you start.
Mix flour, spices, butter and sugar into bowl - adding the oats last.
Slice & peel your apples and place slices on bottom of buttered iron skillet
Add 10 oz of cranberries (we like frozen or you can use frozen berries)
Sprinkle the crumble mix on top.
Baking at 350 for about 15 minutes or until hot throughout.

Grab a hot coffee or almond milk and enjoy for breakfast or snack time!

My Notes:

I use Simply Organic Spices and Frontier Co-op Spices - organic and non-irradiated.
I use Arrow Mills organic flours and Bobs Red Mill
I use grass-fed and/or organic butter  (dairy is full of nasties - choose well)
Organic apples
Yes, I'm obsessed with color and Staub cookware
